The weather stayed dry but a strong wind proved to be quite a challenge on the course, however the view of the surf breaking on Fistral Beach was a wonderful sight!
The winners of the Skinners Royal British Legion Annual County Tournament were the RNAS Culdrose team, Steve Beirne (Captain), Geoff King, Keith Terrill and Henry Cooper, and the trophy was presented by Andy Hawkins from Skinners Brewery . Steve Beirne said, "We would all like to thank the Royal British Legion and Newquay Golf Club for an excellent competition, and we look forward to defending our title next year."

Runners up were Newquay Royal British Legion Club who also won the Nearest the Pin prize. Teams from Royal British Legion Branches Tideford, Pelynt and Lanreath also took part in the competition. A bottle raffle in aid of the poppy Appeal raised £96.
